All EP 5500 processing machines are delivered with MAN engines of the latest generation and exhaust gas class as standard. We can offer a much wider range also as far as the drives and variety of versions are concerned. A three-axle, caterpillar or stationary version is also possible where relevant, and a full electric propulsion is becoming increasingly popular. In addition, we offer a large number of other useful equipment options to cover all customer-specific requirements and enable economical and convenient working.
Many different materials can be processed exactly as required, thanks to the unique shredding systems of the EP series. In both their main area of use (namely composting) and the increasingly important biomass application, the Sharks have also become successfully established in the field of biogas substrate treatment. Furthermore, the “Willibald Sharks” are also used successfully for bark and peat processing, as well as for making wood chips from left-over and old wood materials (e.g. pallets) for use in thermal recycling. Choosing the type of Shark to suit your needs will perfect the shredding result in line with your individual material requirements. Five customized variants are available:
In this modification, a rotor with 48 fine flails operates in combination with rakes. This achieves finest material results. Where exact fine grain is required, version 1 is the right decision.
Green waste, maize silage, beet. Output of up to 240 m3/h, e.g. for green waste.
This strong rotor version with 40 flails and more stable rakes due to the reduced number of flails enables an optimum compromise between robustness and material fineness. Version 2 is the one you want when you need decent fine grain.
Bark and organic waste. Throughput of up to 200 m3/h, e.g. for horse manure.
Here, a rotor operates with 16 powerful double flails. These are equipped with 32 quickly interchangeable tips. The universally usable shredding system of the Shark 5 in version 3 offers good, well-balanced results in almost all areas of application.
Root wood, demolition wood. Output up to 210m3/h, e.g. for demolition wood.
Alternatively to version 3, 32 massive single flails can also be used. The SHARK shredding system in version 4 offers longer life times and also good results for a wide range of materials to be shredded.
Pallets, waste wood. Result up to 230 m3/h e.g. for pallets.
A rotor with 10 fixed shredder tools with chopping qualities ensures excellent results in biomass processing. An innovative safety concept against contaminants also convinces.
Solid wood and logs. Quantities up to 150 m3/h, e.g. for logs.
Three versions with selectable discharge height of 3.8 m, 4.5 m or 5.0 meters for continuous discharging of the shredded materials into windrows or directly onto the truck.
Important basic equipment item which enables cyclic cleaning of the radiator surface to remove attracted dust.
For convenient extraction of the flail axles from the rotor for quick tool changes.
Enables continuous discharge of the shredded materials in closed windrows. The movement is driven by a friction wheel on two tires, controlled by control panel or remote control.
Supplies all lubricating points at adjustable intervals with the required exact dose of grease.
Enables convenient and reliable operation of all machine functions and basic settings such as the feeding speed from the feeding vehicle.
Enables convenient height adjustment of the drawbar by touch display or hand-held radio transmitter.
Extends the filling trough by approx. 110 cm and can be folded into the transport position on the control panel or by radio remote control.
Metal fragments contained in the shredded material are attracted by the powerful head roller magnet and gathered in a collection bin.
Any metal parts are separated from the end material and discharged to the side. This option is only available for three-axle vehicles.
Ensures exact loading of the processed materials directly from the conveyor belt into the transport vehicle.
Prevents dust development both on the material feeder and on the conveyor belt. An ideal option when shredding pallets for example.
The LEDs illuminate the work area perfectly. Ideal for use in shift operation.
A mechanically or hydraulically folding board wall elevation increases the filling trough volume and brings added convenience to your work. The board walls can also be folded for transport.
For trouble-free handling of large assignments without stopping for refueling. The large additional tank increases the fuel capacity to up to 860 liters.
Ideal for fast marshaling of the shredder with the feeding vehicle.

At a surcharge, we will deliver your new WILLIBALD shredder in the RAL color of your choice.
In order to meet special environmental requirements, the shredding machine is also available with biodegradable hydraulic oil.
Enables the recording of the shredded material including storing of volume, material and customer data. A fan unit is available additionally for the optical quantity measurement.
Instead of 2-axle chassis. This enables mobile machine positioning without a towing vehicle is possible. For certain ground conditions
also better suited.
Can be selected instead of the 2-axle chassis. Required for certain equipment options or if the total machine weight of 19 tonnes is exceeded.
Different sizes of screening hoppers are available for installation depending on the requirements for the desired end product (final grain grade).
The sensor-controlled safety package allows the discharge belt to be swung away when the rotor is at a standstill. In addition, incorrect assembly of the safety bolts is not possible. This additionally protects users and material.
Serves for quick connection of the truck’s pneumatic brake system to the brake system of the trailer.
